Following the successful launch of the Niemierko Wedding Academy at The Dorchester in May, further wedding planner courses dates for October 2011, January and April 2012 have now been announced. With bridal industry experts as guest speakers and special accommodation rates at The Dorchester, students to the Niemierko Wedding Academies will learn from the best in the business and may also enjoy a stay at one of London’s most iconic hotels.
Due to overwhelming demand, Mark Niemierko, the UK’s foremost luxury wedding planner, will once again share his trade and style secrets at the Niemierko Wedding planner courses at The Dorchester during October 2011, January and April 2012. Consisting of a high-end inspirational experience, the Niemierko Wedding Academy will help equip its students with the tools and contacts to become wedding planners of quality in the future.
Each week-long course is held within the luxurious surroundings of The Dorchester, who have just recently refurbished their Ballroom Suite to accommodate even more magical weddings and events. Students are offered a uniquely individual, innovative and hands on experience, allowing them a true insight into the Niemierko world and how Mark works. By the end of the thorough course all pupils should feel confident, capable and inspired to begin a career in wedding planning.
In order to reveal his best secrets, Mark will be joined by a host of wedding industry experts, including Elton John’s florist Rob Van Helden, Peggy Porschen who recently designed Kate Moss wedding cake and Princess Diana’s former make-up artist Maggie Hunt.
October’s Academy, taking place 3 – 7 October 2011, will see acclaimed fashion designer Bruce Oldfield OBE, whom designed the wedding dress of HM Queen Rania of Jordan, attend for a one off Q&A session with Mark Niemierko and his students.
At January’s Academy, 23 – 27 January 2012, fresh from designing the bridal gown for Zara Phillips, Stewart Parvin will talk students through his work experiences; from designing high-end bridal gowns to his regular job of designing outfits for Her Majesty the Queen. April’s Academy will take place from 16 – 20 April 2011 and full details have yet to be announced.
Over the course of five days, students will be offered an enlightening perspective into the ‘Niemierko world’. Mark and his team have planned a meticulous schedule ensuring pupils cover all aspects of how he organises, creates and oversees a couples' wedding. This will cover the process of planning, wedding etiquette, budgeting, bridal fashion and beauty, Q&A sessions and a first class food & drinks tasting at The Dorchester. In addition, the course also covers how best to create a wedding day around a couple through a flower class and visit to Covent Garden flower market, mood boards, production design, selecting tableware, furniture, lighting and entertainment. The days are broken down into concise classes, between which breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and the odd glass of champagne will be served.
Each student will also walk away with The Niemierko Little White Book, which lists all Niemierko's much-loved and tested suppliers, and a copy of The Niemierko Wedding Album, a hard back photo book of weddings designed and planned by Mark.
